Rotating Soap and Holder
The manufacturer named his product Rotating Soap (Savon Rotatif), patented it in 1950 and ever since used widely in the bathrooms (lavoirs) of the schools, other public buildings, and by France’s state-run railways. The soap, furnished with a drilled hole (making it easily replaceable), hangs securely and freely, turns on an angled axis, and this offers the following advantages: firstly, it is easy to wash both hands and secondly the soap dries off quickly over the entire surface. The soap lasts for months before replacement is required. The brass appliance is robust and non-corrosive enough to also be used in the garden. The manufacturer claims you can wash your hands up to 1,000 times with a 280g bar of this soap and of course leaves the hands feeling soft and with a lingering, spicy scent.
